I’m so fighting the urge to DNF, but I’m going to push through. I honestly would like to know when we, as a society, started to act like emotional cheating was completely acceptable. Like, would everyone giving this book 5 stars like to be on Sophie’s shoes? Would everyone like to have their partner act this way with their “friend”? Have we lost our empathy just because it wasn’t through Sophie’s POV?

I’m starting to dread the “now” chapters. The cheating is getting WAY out of hand and it’s ruining the relationship development the past chapters created for me. I’m finding it harder and harder to root for them, cheating is my biggest no-no. I have a theory, and if it’s true this might end up being a 3.5 or 4 stars book for me, but if that theory doesn’t get reveal soon, it might be a 3 stars read.

Still addicted to this book, but the ick is growing bigger and bigger with all the emotional cheating and borderline cheating going on in the present timeline. I will never root for a couple when one of them is engaged with someone else, and that’s ruining that timeline for me so much I’m dreading the “now” chapters. Still loving the past timeline though
