This is a phenomenal read so far! I’m reading a chapter a week with a small group in our church. This would be a great, accessible resource for a church history class. I’d love to teach a class at church on this book someday!

In a sentence, it traces how Christians lived out their faith over the past 2,000 years in different eras and locations. So good!

This is definitely a slow, thoughtful read for me. It’s deeply rooted in Christian history, theology, and the lives of the saints and martyrs, so there is a lot to take in and reflect on. This isn’t a book I can rush through—it’s going to take me some time to finish, digest, and really appreciate all that it has to say.
