Status Updates From Collected Fiction: The Myst...

Well - I have finished “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh”. The writing is quite good but I found the story itself not to my liking. Somehow both convoluted and transparent. The protagonist is unlikeable and his circle of friends and lovers are as unlikeable as him, along with being “characters” (X is the brat, Y is the damaged person with an agenda, Z is misunderstood…etc)
The story is pretty by the numbers
