This one character has longish blond hair, has a Scottish accent, calls people "brother," and has a name that starts with D, and I just keep imagining Desmond from Lost.

I'm loving all the accents in this book since they're my favorites and I get to listen to them in my head :-D

There is a lot of story here. While I am interested, I find it slow moving.

I am thoroughly enjoying this book so far. I just wished I had more time to read it because I am dying to find out what happens. I definitely find myself dwelling on it during the day. Love the characters, too!

I have read the first chapter and it was phenomenal! I think Carol Oates has knocked this one out of the park!
