i am unfortunately not in love with them as people and so it’s hard to similarly fall in love with a book that inherently is a cozy romance

Will write a proper review of this soon but wow if cozy and hopeful sci-fi is your thing then this is a masterpiece

interesting that this is dual timeline/ split narrative. i think i would’ve been far more excited about this if it wasn’t. interesting to see how she keeps the reader engaged in this style cause knowing the second timeline quiets the narrative a lot. but i guess that’s cause she writes cozy?

I cannot begin to express how excited I was to get the email this morning that I was approved to read an ARC of this book from NetGalley. Becky Chambers is one of my favorite authors ever and I have waited years to read a new book from her. I’m starting this tonight with great anticipation.
