Status Updates From Final Incal

Após ler Depois do Incal, a primeira versão do capítulo final que Moebius não pôde dar continuidade, o que se percebe é que ela iria ser ainda mais "viajada no ácido" do que Incal Final que efetivamente foi publicado.

Algo assustador e perturbador no universo Incal é a quantidade absurda de referências que Jodorowsky acrescenta à história. Por trás de toda a maluquice a quantidade de arquétipos e símbolos é de deixar o leitor zonzo.

Definitivamente Jodorowsky quer provar que sua obra não é para qualquer um, a narrativa varia entre a crítica social ácida e debochada a mais pura insanidade criativa.

This gets more and more interesting: Jodorowsky starts playing around with parallel universes and timelines, JDF's love interest from "Before the Incal" named Louz de Garra returns still making a living as a space pirate mistaken for a goddess by a species of cyborg arachnid space vampires, the Technopriests and galactic emprie's nobility being much saner than they've done at any other time in the Jodoverse...

interesting to see this pick up some of the same themes as "The New Dream", the first (aborted) attempt at an Incal sequel illustrated by Moebius, like the plague mutating all life beyond recognition, the cosmic conflict between light and darkness, even the forces of light being represented by a collective of insects

Orh, the creator god from "The Incal" also makes an appearance as does Louz from "Before the Incal"
