What the heck am I reading?!? This book is so convoluted with so many characters and plans and “not the mafia” bs rolling around. I’m so confused…please tell me it gets better.

When will authors stop writing kids with speech issues already?? It’s not cute to read a 5 year old saying “weally” instead of “really”. If this keeps up, this book will be a DNF for me 🙄

Pleasantly surprised so far. The 'FAAH-OUT' gene mutation being a real name... researchers are so unserious.

I understand that Davidson King isn't for everyone ... but most that know me on here know that I pretty much devour every single word she writes. And, seriously, I'm already choked up at the end of the prologue!

No explaining of the backstory, the story itself just sits there without any connection.
