I put this down for the night and now I don't want to pick it up again.

There's some neat architecture described.

Goodness, this is serious. Ponderous. I'm not sure the story lends itself to humor, but still. I am seriously having trouble relating to the characters. I sometimes enjoy stories about gods and aliens, though, so maybe it's something about the characterization that leaves me feeling I have no handle here?

I enjoy the way that art and memory are working in this story. Hopefully that interaction gets a deeper exploration..

Things got a little darker than I was expecting them to right off the bat for this author, but the settings are striking and beautiful, the Celtic mythology a delight to explore. It's nice to find a book that makes you want to write as much as you want to sit still and read it.

I wonder what the endgame's going to be. Curious is all I am.

Reminds me of a female Rumpelstiltskin from Once Upon A Time. Very mysterious, much more innocent and a lot less ugly. I can definitely feel that fairy tale vibe with the beautiful writing.

I'm loving it so far. The writing style is fun and easy to read, even out loud. The Willow Woman searching for a release from her loneliness is touching, and rather frightening how she might achieve that very freedom. I understand that she's not human and her only interaction with people. She deserves a friend though. She's been alone much too long.
