what a horrible scene. this book was supposed to give christine agency and yet the way christine is written is such a far cry from any other iteration of her character i’ve seen. BRUH WHY

still offers nothing more than an accurate frame by frame description of the musical’s book. meh for me cause i can’t help but compare it to the original story with music, but maybe the purpose of this is to gain a new audience for the phantom musical source material for younger audiences? idk if we’re going original storyline, i’d just read Gaston Leroux’s work

moderately dissatisfied in this cause its frame by frame identical to the musical’s book, entirely from christine’s pov. i’m not sure if this will continue to offer anything more in the last 2/3s but we shall see. tbh all i can think about it starting something else but gonna try to finish it
