Status Updates From The Price of Fear (The Wret...

I’m enjoying this story, but I do find the magic system and the world building surrounding the magic system itself and its origin a little confusing. I personally think this could have been explained a bit better with less use of the purple prose. Having this book written in plainer English with its complex magic system would made it less taxing and more enjoyable for the reader to comprehend I think.

An interesting start, but I’m not loving the “witty” dialogue LOLLLL

I’m almost half way, and although I’m still enjoying being taken on a story with this one and I love the grim dark elements and the witty humour, I am finding the prose as beautiful as they are a style of writing that is slowing down my reading progress and at times forcing me to re read whole paragraphs or sentences and at times the writing style can be a little jarring. Still wanting to continue though.

I’m quarter of the way though and taking my time and really enjoying this read. Exactly what I was in the mood for as so far, i highly recommend.
