At the point where Julien left with the marshal it felt like the story took a large detour away from the core sleepy hollow story and is now meandering and treading water in backwater country as they go about their marshal duties.

Beginning starts off as a a basic mystery of the hero questioning cardboard characters. It picks up at 15% when he confronts Brom Bones. Julien is like Batman. He does the detective thing first then goes vigilante and beats up a score of people with superhuman speed and strength with little opposition and the law staying out of his way.

This was going great not sure what the hell happened, this just went from horseman to not interested. Could have left this part out.
