9/11 will always be a pivotal moment for me. I remember very clearly asking anyone who would listen, "Why are the people jumping?" This moment in my life changed me.
That said, I actually look forward to this anthology. I think fiction can help us heal. Speculative fiction is even more prone to this quality. Anyone who enjoys wartime fiction knows that history's evilest moments can be teaching moments for us now.
