Status Updates From Dasia [Forever]

"... just like I promised."

Ugh, the letter, so sweet

"that plushie..." SOBBING

NO WAY "two codes... two rooms apart"

The gasp - my heart just TORE in half.... please dont be happening

Mental health being so prevalent and broken down into digestible terms and feelings is soooo refreshing to see in a young adult novel - it's so important kids know this is not rare stuff and there is nothing "wrong" with them

Her little brother, oh my heart

SPOILERS: This poor girl battling her illness, stepping up as a parent, missing her brother, grieving her father, all without her mother's support and guidance

"And just like that, the bridge they were building with stuff they have in common begins to crumble."

The difference in financial stability is so noticeable to children, I'm so glad that is being shown between these two

This is so emotional and I love the vulnerability in her writing to her brother - we get to see the true emotions that she hides under her tough exterior
