Status Updates From Vineland

Is Pynchon really dropping a D.L. Moody reference?! So bizarre, haha. This whole book is Bizarroland. Really funny and flowery and oddly endearing in a very Americana sort of way. Feels like Wallace might've take some cues from how Pynchon plays with the setting. Very cool alternate-reality-feeling version of Reagan era California, like White Noise too, kinda. I'm enjoying it but feel totally up in the air still.

Absolute acid trip of a book - I know what’s happening so far, but, in a much greater sense, I actually have no clue.

A book that I think I like now but will like more after another read later in life for sure.

So far. I have zero idea what is happening. And there is no plot to follow. Just crazy conversation.
