jack shit is happening. they're kind of all terrible people with terrible issues. the main conflict about what happened to her sister is pushed aside needlessly so there can be a 'big reveal' at the end. (dude, we all know shes dead, comatose, or kidnapped. quite frankly, i don't care which it is).
otherwise the whole book is going to parties and flirting with gross ass drunk pot smoking guys in their 20s like girl..

her friends mum is freaking out because these minors are smoking pot and drugs in her house and the first thing sophie notes is "her throat is skinny". Her friend refused the cupcakes they made because she doesnt want to get fat. no one else at the party ate anything either.

first thing she mentions about her neighbour is that her mum is thinner than her and the lady has no chin because she's fat. now she's at school and she's annoyed that all the other 16 year olds have lost their virginity, but not her and she wants to.
