Status Updates From Riven Rock

This audiobook is 20+ hours in length and is slow going. I'm having a difficult time getting into this novel as it isn't as riveting as I'd hoped it would be.

I initially selected this novel as it is a work of historical fiction set in Montecito, California (affluent suburb of Santa Barbara, CA) and is inspired by the life of Stanley McCormick, heir to the International Harvester Company, and his life at Riven Rock.

I'm not sure what I think of this one yet. Slow to start and I'm unsure if the pace will pick up. It has words I can look up, and I enjoy that. I keep a word log. But I absolutely HATE the typeface (Cochin). Combined with the small (8-10pt?) font size it's a little hard to read - or maybe it's just me?
