in neapolitan 'cantaro' is the toilet (the object not the room or any kind of big cup). it comes from greek 'kantharos' which means 'drinking cup'. you'd be surprised how many words in our dialect come from greek, french, spanish. I'm shocket that nobody ever wrote a book about neapolitan etymology bc it'd be so cool to see the ramification
