A bloody start.

The story actually had a solid, non cliffhanger end. I'm pleasantly surprised. We'll see what the last 7 percent holds... Probably a teaser for book 2. Depending on the price I may give it a chance.

At least stupidity is punished in this story. Itll all work out but at least it had a cost.

I look forward to our MC realizing magic is real... I expect it won't happen until the final scene...
Current prediction: big showdown happens. MC slaughters his way in. Goes in for the kill only to find Zagan has essentially become the Terminator. Zagan escapes and book ends with a to be continued

The second billionaire seems too convenient. And half way through the book seems like too early for our MC to start showing his hand. Then again, they are brilliant engineers so they'd probably find out quickly anyway

Enjoying it. It feels it should be a revenge based comic book. That's not a bad thing.

I have no idea what to expect from this book, but chapter one was a fascinating start.
I couldn't decide what to read from my kindle library of way too many free books, so I just scrolled and clicked at random. Hopefully it pays off!

Honestly, I couldn't get into it. The characterization and hook just didn't do it for me.
