Ughhh, so close yet still not interacting! Tension is just frustrating

Getting more engaging, but still frustrating.

I’m frustrated with myself with how slow I’m reading this book, but mystery isn’t feeling as engaging as of yet as it did in first book, plus Ethan and Pat haven’t even SEEN each other yet.

Ethan’s dreams are interesting. Def his subconscious warning him and dropping clues all over the place.

Ooohhh, Mallory from upcoming short story must be Pat’s new/current partner!!

This book going to focus more on Ethan’s father? Is that what his dreams are all about? Thought they were nightmares from nearly losing Pat and fighting the wolf-beast-thing...

I'm sorry, but this is just not making any sense. As the editing has improved the storytelling has deteriorated. There's just no winning with this one. :(

Two down, one to go. The 2nd book was better from an editing point of view (but seriously, it's not like it could have been WORSE), but didn't have the humor & tight pacing of the first book. Time to discover what joys or horrors await in the final book...
