Well I cried and almost puked but I also couldn’t put the book down.

Diabolical way to end that section. And I have 100+ pages left before I can find out what the crappity happened.

Oh snap this makes sense now but also makes no sense at all….

EASTON THOMPSON HOW DARE YOU. ITS CRUEL TO END EACH PART WITH A CLIFF HANGER AND THEN SWITCH POVS AND HAVE ME READ ANOTHER 4-5 CHAPTERS ABOUT THE OTHER GUY UNTIL IT SWITCHES BACK AGAIN. WHYYYYYY

I love Erik. I hate Rupert. I’m not prepared for what’s ahead like at all. I may or may not have had a major spoiler appear in a review that wasn’t flagged to contain spoilers.

Idek what I’m on about sometimes. Really, this book isn’t the most amazing piece of literature ever… but it’s a good story! It is really immersive and interesting, I can route for the characters, and I love the mission behind this book. Do I have my qualms with it? Yes. But am I gonna throw the baby out with the bath water? No. This book does a good job at what it’s going for, and it’s well researched!

Baldwin’s POVs may be my favorite now.
Ivar was the guy that went through it but came out better each time… until whatever that scene was with the Jotunbjørn.
Baldwin is the opposite. I had a really hard time liking him initially because it felt like he was violent for the heck of it… but now he’s turning into what Ivar used to be, and Ivar is becoming what Baldwin used to be.

As expected I’m in tears

Im not ready…I’m not ready…I’m not ready. This better NOT turn out how I expect.

This book is crazy. I’ve decided I’m going to assume that everyone will die, that way if someone makes it out I can be pleasantly surprised. Seriously, you cannot get too attached to these characters or you will end up with nothing but a shattered heart by the end.

IM SCREAMING. I KNEW IT BUT THAT PLOT TWIST HOLY MOLEY.

LETS HUNT THE HEAD OF THIS OPERATION AND (hopefully) CUT OFF HIS HEAD. This is a very graphic story but I don’t think I mind it.

Oh oh oh oh ohhhh my I love Baldwin. I just read one of the most intense chapters of my life to date and the absolute RAGE and sadness I felt….I’m so happy Baldwin serves Justice so well.

YOURE GONNA CHANGE POVS ON ME NOW?! My gosh what a cliffhanger.

I REALLY want to hug Ivar.
