I’ve enjoyed the questions it brings along. I’m excited to see there this goes and how it’ll end. I especially enjoy the journal entry format. I think it adds a bit of thrill with every journal entry, you never know what’s gonna happen or what he’ll recognize.

the way this guy talks abt his wife is actually sweet as fuck. how come kobo abe always does such a great job at portraying the complex nature of love and making outstanding female characters who are clearly portrayed as their own Self stifled by society yet the first thing i heard abt him is that hes the typical japanese writer that hates women? hmmm
