God, I can't with how monotonous Michael Dean is in this. Between him and Liam. DiCosimo, this may be one of the worst narrations I've listened to since The Giver (which, to be clear, was worse).

I don't know if it's because I find Liam DiCosimo to be a sub-par VA, and especially so on this book (and Michael Dean isn't much better - possibly worse), but I'm finding this audiobook to be quite dry, and honestly kind of hard to get through. Honestly, I feel like DiCosimo is fucking narrating the spice scene in ch. 18. I'm sorry, but is this a German audiobook? Or one from the '90s?

Nate is extremely problematic. His obsession with wanting Xavi but also hating him is extremely toxic. He makes Xavi’s problems look normal compared to what’s going on in his head.
