I think I figured out what's going on here with these Fitzgerald siblings and the ghost of Benedict's killer and all that

This has gotten way more interesting. I think Lucie's new husband is obviously shady, and some shit is about to go down related to that. I'm sick of Belinda and her selfish rude mouth. I have no clue how Lucie can stand her but I guess she sees her as a sister. I really want Belinda to either disappear or to get her comeuppance and I think it's coming.

Belinda is back and is no doubt this book's designated frenemy. I hope she's not like a Harriet Main who sticks around for multiple books while we are constantly told she is "charming" but she's actually an annoying twat. Also, Jean Pascal is still creepy and I guess I already know how his whole thing is gonna go. Run, Lucie!

Something about this one is kinda dull even though shocking things have already happened. Or maybe i am just Carr'ed out at the moment

"Her calm common sense should be like a douche of cold water to my fevered fantasies." 🤣 Look, I know douche in this instance means shower, okay? Just let me laugh wildly like a 12 year old for a second.

I find all the political discussions quite dull. But at least the suspense is picking up already. Also, I found an 80s (or maybe 1990) Bantam Books / Barbara Taylor Bradford bookmark in my copy! "Expect passion . . Expect drama .. expect everything!" it says. I love finding stuff tucked into my used books especially when they've been sitting on my shelves unread for ages and I had no clue 🤣

I can't believe how blase everyone still seems about the big reveal at the end of the last book. Also, guess Celeste's happiness was a fluke.
