Status Updates From Light from the Dark

This is breaking my heart all over again the second time around.

Waiting for some peace so I can finish the book - and stallking the author's... everything, lloking for my next read!

I'm listening to this book on audio, but I'm struggling so hard to keep going.... . Perhaps I will continue with reading, this makes the progress faster. In parts this story is simply ridiculous (as many other reviewers did already mention ☹).

That's some convoluted shit. I need a family tree to keep all those long-dead people straight, that where of no significance to the story until we got barfed full of exposition.

Why is all the help made up of illegitimate children? It's confusing.

I'm enjoying the hurt/comfort sexual exploration parts, but the mystery thing is a bust. Could Micah be any more incompetent? Is he even trying to do something about the attacks? Because if he is, than the book is not telling.

"You call me beastly. " Micah reminded him. "I'm marked for my crimes. The scar. I'm ugly."
And this is where the story takes a plunge in the melodrama pool for good, and the 2-star area for me. If I manage to finish it at all.

Enjoying it a lot. However it moves too close to purple prose territory at times and there are way more errors (typos mainly and a few grammatical) than I'd expect from an author of this calibre.
