This is like if Emily in Paris stayed in Midtown and chose the wrong career path.

This book is corny and not in a fun way. The antagonists, psychopathic partners at the law firm, lack any depth or arc. Partners yelling & bullying associates is a thing of the past and bad business in general. I couldn’t buy into Mackenzie’s plight because the plot and characters were so trite and fabricated.
