The romance may not be what readers expect though it's definitely a love story it's also a story of growing up, of humanity, rights and responsibilities.

Interesting, quite absorbing how they bond and the things they don't say, curious how it ends but my kindle needs juice 😂

This book is such a pleasure to read. I know Wendy Rathbone primarily as a poet and this book does include some haiku. But even the prose is like poetry; beautifully crafted sentences, full of nuance. The human starfarer visits many amazing places and it's like we are there, the images vivid and real. His relationship (such as it is, akin to a modern-day internet relationship) is sweet and intimate.
