Status Updates From Blighted

This book is quite confusing in that it has the world building, plot tropes, and hero-squad vibe of a children’s novel, but then occasional adult elements that make you forget no, this is actually YA?? But the characters are in their late 20s?

Going to force myself to finish since I’m almost done, and possibly the first Goodreads reviewer of this book, which feels like a Guinness record.

I’m going to need this to pick up the pace or emotional stakes QUICKLY
