Damn I had no idea this book would be so controversial… I know nothing about the lore but I DO LOVE this book so far. Some of these fandom girlies are so mean…

This is,, dark omg

It’s… less than I expected. I love Astarion’s character very deeply and I was very excited to see his “official” backstory but I’m disappointed so far.

Why is every woman in this story (Baija, Aurelia, Dalyria, even the random half-elf prostitute) feeling like the same person with an "older sister" energy? And why is the narrative going out of its way to remind us that Astarion sleeps with men, but avoids any mentions of him sleeping with women?

Once again, the curse of being up for work tomorrow means I can’t finish this tonight 😔

I like the voice, it's chatty, but stops just short of being rambly, it's funny, but not tryhard funny.
