Other than just power and the crown a little bit of her background. I expected a little more from the novela I was hoping to see Elara and Coris relationship a little more. ALSO Julian and Coris relationship was sweet and he was protective of her. Though I wish we got more of Cori and Sara. Sara was important to Cal being his physician but I wish I saw more of Sara and Coris closeness. Sara was also a lady in waiting

What made Elara so evil why was she so evil? I don’t want to accept her as a villain by her own making I want to say that it was the stress from family because we saw a glimpse of that from Evangeline. But pushing someone to a gruesome death like this while also being the main villain in the red queen series, destroying your own husband and son has got to be deep rooted need for power. I wish we knew Elaras motives

Only Elara saw its pages, and the slow unraveling of the woman inside. She destroyed the book like she destroyed Coriane. And she dreamed of nothing

To hide the fact that Elara broke the law and was in Cori’s mind she not only destroyed her diary but also make sure she was the first person to see Cori dead. It probably pulled her and Tiberias closer. I honestly would have loved a book on Elara.

Elara really messed with Coris head and made her think these things which led to her death.

I feel like you can really see Elaras seed budding now in Coraines mind. It really is poisonous and just enforces a weak woman out of Cori

This broke me a little, nightmares scary enough to cause a miscarriage is literally a nightmare. Those dreams had to have been scary and for her to loose a baby THREE times is rough. It can really take a toll on her.

It really wasn’t a good omen. But it goes to show that Coraine didn’t like the crown not only in the literal sense but also in the monarch sense. She believed that reds shouldn’t have been treated as slaves.

Elara was a wicked person. Causing nightmares to people I guess she did that to make them weak hence why she cut nightmares away from Maven.
