Status Updates From The Wolf and His King

'you remember him. you've already committed every plane of his body to memory. but you'll remind yourself of them again and again until he is branded indelibly into your mind. You'll whisper his nature to him, shape his name in kisses, bring him back with your touch over and over again '

I AM HOWLING

' you say ' I missed you '

And he who was there says, ' I know' '

LOSING ITTTTT

'Bisclavret has been so long robbed of his hands' 😭😭😭😭 this whole chapter is insanely beautiful and intimate I am dying

THEIR REUNION I AM LOSING MY FUCKING MIND

'i remember myself because he remembers me'

I am ruined 😭

the trope of not only loving a man who is also a monster but the man being trapped inside the monster and still being by your side???

absolutely DELICIOUS

'SAY IT I DARE YOU

SAY IT

MAKE IT REAL

WHISPER IT LIKE ALL THOSE PRAYERS YOU HAVE LET BRAND YOU

'THE WOLF IS BISCLAVRET'

MAKE IT TRUE '

losing my minddddddd

wolf! Bisclavret attacking his ex wife and cousin was deeply insane oh my GOD

'I AM MORE ME WHEN HE SAYS MY NAME

LIKE HE GIVES ME BACK THE PIECES OF MYSELF '

I NEED TO DIEEEEEEE

The King admitting his love and all his thoughts about Bisclavret to the wolf wearing Bisclavret's skin is soooooo insanely delicious I CAN'T with the yearning

The King reaching out to touch the wolf to comfort him while he sleeps!!! ;3; my heart

'i will stay by him anyway

i am at least warm in this cold place

i will keep him from freezing at his vigil'

'he remembers my name

he speaks it when he is praying

perhaps i am not lost after all'

This is actually ruining my life

Bisclavret seemingly being lost to the wolf...

the wolf appearing to the king and placing his paws in the King's lap in supplication? in fealty? LET ME DIE

fucking someone and finding comfort in them touching you because you can't be with the person you really want to be touching and fucking is THE trope of all time i fear! i love characters absolutely plagued and haunted by their own desires.

'i am just wolf just grief just wolf just grief

all lost'

the King merely imagining what it would feel like to press his lips against Bisclavret's skin.....bruh the YEARNING is nuclear grade

'you would have him happy. but for a moment you wish that happiness were to be found with *you*' goddddddddd

the werewolf angst is STRONG in this book

sometimes ur a big sad gay King that fucks his scribe to stop thinking about ur fave Knight 3

the King was absolutely *cherishing* those bruises that Bisclavret left on his body...fuck! <3

'and you...you mislike the idea of losing him to exile again. of losing the chance to see what he might become, to tease out the hints of the stubborn, irreverent man you glimpse hiding beneath his shyness. to hone the edge of his rough-hewn beauty and make it something you can bear to look at, without feeling that the air has been stolen from your lungs'

this book was already making me certifiably insane TWO chapters in when the King was 'struck by the absurd desire to ask him to call you by your name' LIKE !!!!

AUGH the aching of this book it is so beautiful and so good

Oh. Oh
