This book is so good on the second read .... itll only get better i think with every re-read.

Its so obvious her heart's not in it ...which is why its not eliciting any emotions ...

I expected better from Sherry Thomas and I'm so disappointed. I honestly couldn't care less about Evangeline or Bennett and the writing itself felt like it was trying too hard and I just got very stilted and pretentious vibes off it

Ready to throw in the towel - and I've read (and generally adored) almost everything Thomas's written. I give not a single shit for either of the MCs. Even their wealth seems...not indulgent, but just both weirdly pedestrian and overly highlighted. For a book that keeps calling itself a fairy tale, it's just boring. Also, the one-night stand means there's no sexual tension, despite lots of sex. Also, weird cursing.
