Status Updates From Angel & Faith: Season 10, V...

Illyria: "I felt displayed and you and Wesley guided me through being human. Now I realize you were just managing me. The more human I became, the weaker I became. You couldn't defeat me, but you could manipulate me."

Illyria: "When I became part of humanity, I became part of the lie. No more."

Illyria: "I've always been curious about humanity's capacity for self-deception. Your ability to claim shortcomings as something laudable. [...] You lie to yourself because you're so small and so feeble, and you can't do anything about it so you make up stories about how weakness is a virtue. When I became diminished... I told myself it was better... What choice did I have?"

Fred is back? I didn't watch Angel so I have no fondness for this character.

Zomg this seemed like a stand alone section on the surface, but it had a great call back to the blood of Gachnar, as well as a visit by Fred and Angel to his old stomping grounds in Galway. There’s also a cameo and tie in to Spike and the other side of this seasons comics at the end.

Nadira is fast becoming one of my favourite characters here. Fred and Illyria have a conversation inside her head AND FRED COMES OUT ON TOP. Koh is probably going to become part of the London Scoobies now that he’s getting a handle on his vengeance cravings.

I forgot that Fred and Faith knew each other, and this part has some beautiful moments. Then science comes in to try to understand Fred and Illyria occupying the same space. Then Illyria comes back and I am disappoint.

Koh talks through his time leading up to being in the Deeper Well, as Fred battles against Illyria trying to retake over her body.

Faith comes back to London and the apartment Giles left her, but doesn’t tell Angel. Angel is in the midst of dealing with Fred’s return. And then Eldre Koh arrives at Nadira’s.

Really hoping the title means Angel & Faith will be working together again in this one!
