Going from nearly dying, to having a horrific fever for a week to be fucked for 2 days straight. I suppose that's one way to celebrate getting better. Or to help make you feel better.
Now onto a new life, but having weird ass dreams that are terrifying. Alright then. And Torrien sure knows how to distract her.

It’s starting to get a bit more intriguing. Not fully pulled into where I don’t want to put the book down. Curious enough to keep reading.

Damn this bitch is desperate and a bit dumb. Although I must admit I too am curious to know what Torrien's story is... Who is he truly? Where is he taking her? Is he a cursed king? He obviously wants her but won't act on it ugh. And what's with the monster following them??

The pace of the narrative is starting to kind of slow down a bit which is nice because now I can really start to grasp everything.

Has been pretty fast paced in my opinion, the plot is starting to twist and reveal itself just a little bit. Starting to get sucked in.

Gotta say that this book is different than I thought it would be. There's lustful thoughts about both the monster in the woods and her kidnapper? Dang. She was living a life that condemned these feelings but also tempted her. Really mixed signals ngl

There are bits of this that FEEL like Gild to me. Some of the horrifying things and general tension of manipulation, mystery, and control. There’s def an arc here of her finding her power but it comes at a steep cost and she must endure many horrors. She is also a very repressed horny girl who may or may not be a witch - still invested in seeing where this goes!

There are SO many monsters and many of them are unique (at least to me). It’s kinda giving Shielf of Sparrows when they’re traveling through the Turah jungle. Except hornier.
