This is... ok so far? The writing and characters are mediocre tbh. But there are elements I'm interested in. I hope we get a bit more background on the Stars and the magic system. It reads a bit YA. I don't know this author so I'm not sure what she usually writes. I'll get to the 30% mark and see if it's worth continuing. Give me the court intrigue I was promised 💔

people are saying this is heavy on the court intrigue so that's why i'm giving it a shot. i am so HUNGRY for some good medieval/renaissance inspired fantasy that's all about court politics, secret deals and alliances (if you have recs, i beg you to drop them).
anyway, i hope this one delivers since i'm still stuck at home unable to walk :(
