Oh, my gosh, McKenna is pulling out ALL THE STOPS in this final culmination of..... well, everything. My expectations were met (and exceeded) long ago.

Oh, man.....I really thought he was done for in that excruciating moment! How is it possible that I am STILL falling deeper in love with this book and these characters (minus the Creator, of course??)

Uggghhh.....I hate the Creator so much!!!!

Holy CRAP, I did NOT expect that wild twist....and it's so sad.....

K.M. McKenna continues to deliver the goods. I was hoping we would have more flashbacks to the war (because I wanted to see more action and learn more of their history, but also because frankly, the story needed it,) and boy, was it GOOD. What I wasn't expecting, however, was the emotional depth behind it!

My heart is breaking for Roe right now....💔💔

Sjena, I freaking love you and am so proud, but that was really, really bad.....😕😕

There's just no WAY things are going to just fall into place as planned!!!

No, Roe....in case you DIDN'T get the memo, your plan is not a good one. It's certainly not "genius." And why are Bynez and Sjena all gung-ho about it? Charl, of all people, is the only one thinking clearly about the whole situation!!

Damn….this book is so damn beautiful that I think I could almost cry.

I haven't felt so moved by a book in such a long time .

Things have never felt so dismal. They've never been so divided. Not from what I have read so far, at least.

He had known pain and suffering for too long that now he had no clue where to start with being happy.

I had no idea that Charl was so inexperienced, and so funny at the same time!!

To make Earth an even worse place than it already is. That's their big, "brilliant" plan?? Oh, this can NOT be good! There is no way this is going to work!!

His hopeless optimism still craved acceptance, while Roe had thought—just for a moment—that he could give him that. He thought he had gotten through to Charl and taught him that he didn’t need to be Ansctian or Skaaran. But no. After everything, it had made no difference at all.

Bynez knew these two had a complicated relationship, but even among all the hate they had for each other, from all the pain they had gone through… there was love.

Charl really was sorry—he just didn’t know how to put it into words. He could barely grasp the emotion of guilt itself, so how could he ever properly apologize to Roe? But, he figured, Roe was at fault, too.
