The book (and duology) is essentially finished and I find myself both impressed and disappointed. I 'm having mixed thoughts, and I foresee and average rating incoming, as it has both great things and some serious problems at the same time.

A lot of things are happening and characters and their actions are starting to converge but still there's nothing urgent or totally captivating.

As the second part of the duology, this has the plot developing finally. The pacing and writing is still on the slow side but I feel all different plot threads are about to meet and things are going down soon!
