Mel is 50% done

I'm giving up. This is so slow and descriptive. I really don't like the protagonist, and one of the secondary characters is hard to stand as well. The romance is still non-existent, and I simply can't bring myself to want to find out more about it.

Mel is 43% done

The beginning was so strong. It even had me shed a tear or two, I was so touched—I don't do that, often.

By now... I'm quite bored. I'm skipping. Nothing is really happening. The romance is still nearly non-existent at all. If it weren't for the from time to time chapter from Jos's view... Actually I wondered what the purpose of this was. It's to keep my attention, right?

I can't identify with Evie. At all.
