Jacobi reads off the suspect’s description, and it’s making me wonder if the authors have any clue how women’s bodies can be. “Height five nine; weight one fifty-two. She’s a big girl.” Excuse me? I hope he meant “big” as in tall because a 5’9” woman who is 152lbs isn’t even close to overweight.

“It was a world that had nothing to do with her anymore. She had no place to go.”

Yeah, why wasn’t Nordstrom the first stop after figuring out where the perfume was from?

“Pressed redial. Her last call was to ‘time and weather.’ Probably called just before she went out that night.”

This book came out in 2006, and I didn’t realize you could still call for the time then. That must have been something.
