It's that "too cool to write an actual sentence" style that's inexplicably popular.

Whoever reads this in one sitting is going to lose some of the profound beauty of this work. It's an intimate, almost impressionistic novel that requires the necessary time to let it sink. A lot of people have tried writing such novels, but ended up crafting hollow, self-absorbed banter because they didn't spend the time Scandal spent crafting her sentences one at the time.

For the love of everything that's beautiful, can someone explain me why there isn't a bigger buzz around this book? We're past so-good-I-can't-stop-reading territory here and have entered the rarefied atmosphere of so-good-I-deliberately-stop-myself-because-I-dread-the-moment-it'll-be over territory. Tiffany Scandal is some kind of righteous heir to Raymond Carver and Henry Rollins. Special stuff.
