Status Updates From Artefact (Lazarus War, #1)

A pulp SF beginning with much space operatic violence. However, as it goes on influences from Forbidden Planet build up. Kellerman as Morbius (Walter Pidgeon) and Harris as Leslie Nielsen and an alien artefact or two of unbelievable complexity stir things up. A poor opening but it is warming itself into something more complex than it appears to have at the start.

Starts like space opera. Now it isn't space opera :(
