Going to see the aquduct attraction. Are there any of these photos in the book? If not it would be nice to include some.

Stopping with Pierre at Provence who she knows through her days in Thailand. Eleven years since seen each other. Makes me smile reading about their fond attachment to Clancy.

Interesting sounding place-with models of the castles in the Loire Valley. They don't go as Lola didn't feel up to it. Very interesting reading. Uh oh! Are some car problems brewing? Phoned dad and he gave instructions for a minor modification.

What a lovely picture is conjured up as she tells of Lola ready for swimming-cozzie and red wellies! This made me smile. Very pleasant read which often made me smile. Again, Lola's idea/remark making me chuckle. Writing-Again, it just makes you think, ah, this is the life! Clancy attracts attention-nice little anecdote relating to this-retelling it in an amusing way.

Things she hadn't planned for-adventures. Such sweet writing. Just a few things a little bit repetitive. September when they are making their trip. Fun, the fun is coming through her words. Lovely, cosy reading. Lovely detailing about the surroundings. She certainly makes the area sound very appealing in her writing.

Pleasing the way she talks about the car as if it's a person but then it has been one of the family for years. Heartening to see her attachment to it. Good travel tip-dried milk and milkshake powder. Her joy in this trip is beautifully expressed in her writing. Another lovely passage describing the scenery they are driving through.

Sounds lovely, great choice of words. Lovely travel writing here. Descriptions of areas sound wonderful. An unusual toilet! She tells that she had lived in Thailand in the past. Interesting and amusing about the toilet tales.

Telling about travelling by ferry, can sleep undisturbed in a cabin as opposed to packed tight in a plane. Entertainment in the evening. All this info about the ferry is all good info to me as I've never been on a ferry, I didn't know all of this.

I always love to read about foods in my reading, sounds yummy, you can almost smell the food. I love this writing about special places they visited, this one a good find, the best hot chocolate Emma says. Description of the village, with a church, village square etc. Massive cup. Memories of their hot chocolate and the discovery of this place. Telling what her hometown off Bath is like and about some of the sights.

Clancy has already got 1 million km on the clock so she had no worries about letting her down. Lola knows what's coming, she's excited, she has been on a shorter trip to France before with Emma and Clancy. "A little tester trip to Brittany and she loved it". Lovely descriptive writing of the area, sounds idyllic and provides heart warming reading.

Clancy is not just an oldish car-he's a forty year old vintage car! Their road trip will cover 3,000 miles. Some tag for tolls where you can go straight through and not have to pay but you're billed later. Not heard of this before. No GPS, just using maps and route cards. Never thought of that-She says if it breaks down, any mechanic would be able to fix it, not new-fangled, computerized workings etc.

Lola's three and she will have her fourth birthday when they are on the 35th day of their trip. Been planning the trip six months, for charity and in one of her dad's cars. He suffers with MS. It will be an adventure, she doesn't envisage everything will go smoothly, even with all the planning, and that's the whole point, it will be an adventure and she'll just take it as it comes.
