Status Updates From Magnolia Blossoms

I loved the bits with the dark comedy. The fluffy romance, not so much.

There are editing mistakes, throughout.

The love story is (somewhat) believable...even though the transformation from ugly to swan was too extreme, and too fast.

It's crazy that Nick would pack up and leave his entire extended family behind. This plot is coming apart. 🤦

Yes, tough guys can be hard-hearted, but this kind of borderline evil is really too much.

That Nick is suddenly a bad guy is a bit much.

There's nothing about Magnolia getting a job. How's she paying her portion of the bills? She must have run out of what money her father gave her, by now.

Yay! She's back to acting nuts again. Phew! It was unrealistic that she changed so completely, almost overnight.

Not enjoying the Cinderella aspect of it as much. The gritty reality of being an utter loser was a lot more relatable, not to mention hilarious. After all, real life has zero Cinderella stories.

Well, the story is turning boring and traditional now. I preferred the buck-toothed weirdo she used to be, with her bizarre, but hilarious, fixations.

Magnolia has a thing for guys in uniform.

The part about her parents doesn't make that much sense. They don't seem uncaring, yet they let their only child go off the rails in a spectacular fashion. Benevolent neglect?!

This novel is like a bizarre parallel dimension.

How is it that her mother never taught her anything?!

"Hooker with a heart of gold" is overdone as a plot device. But the dialogue is still very funny.

This book needs to be made into a movie. 😆

The story is over-the-top, but that's part of its charm.

I prefer the loser-Magnolia. But now that she's had, what almost amounts to, plastic surgery after her accident, she's going to transform, isn't she? Bummer. The loser version was hilarious, and very relatable.

I'm, both, laughing and cringing, at the same time. 😅😄

Oh. My. God. This novel is a gem!! 😍

A wannabe serial killer who faints at the sight of blood. 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

It's hilarious because I've definitely been this level of loser. 😅😂

I'm starting to relate to this poor woman's life. 😅

I'm already loving this book. 😀
