Ugh, what is even happening? I’m struggling to enjoy this book even a little bit. I’m not sure how Henry Miller earned the praise he gets for this basic childish fantasy smut. The female and male characters are interchangeable and boring. The narrator is just gross. The surreal scenes aren’t creative enough to redeem how stale the parts of this story that are grounded in reality, allegedly.
