Status Updates From Der Symbiont

I think I’m getting the gist of the book and am invested in the plot and what happens to them all. But I can’t quite immerse myself in the story or keep track of the characters outside of the narrator and the villain

amazing. truly just, Adrian Tchaikovsky's prose is scratching my Susanna Clarke itch, which is good because her next book doesn't publish for a long time.
