This is glorious. I am sad that I am two thirds the way into finishing this with no other work to read by the author. It was a good day when I saw the post on instagram, a better day when I got sent the arc after applying for it, and now I am inhaling it.

Intrigued by the cover and premise, stayed because it has been one of the best books I have enjoyed.

Two chapters into the e-arc and I already know this is going to be a 5 star read. I knew from chapter 1. Never has a book gripped me this fast and hard 🩷🙂‍↕️

So far so good. The concept is interesting!

“He took in a gasping and ragged breath. “I need you,” he whispered through his clogged throat.
Someone’s arms squeezed him tighter, pinning his arm to his side, while a large hand rubbed his back.
“I’m coming.” Jensen paused for a moment. “I’ll be right there, baby. Give me a few hours and I’ll be there.”

“You’re allowed to have flaws and need help from others. You don’t have to be perfect to be worthy of love.”
Daniel licked his dry lower lip. “Is that what this is? Love?”
“It could be, though the internet said it’s too early for grand declarations. But I’m certainly hoping it’s moving that way, since I’ve been telling my parents you’re my boyfriend for the last few weeks.”

“You wear a long-sleeve shirt to bed?” Daniel asked, unable to keep the amusement out of his voice.‌‌‌‌‌​​​​​​​​​​​‌​‌
“I like to be covered up. I think having your collarbone showing looks slutty.”
“Heaven forbid anyone suspects you of being a floozy in your own bed.”

“It was Jensen, right?”
He nodded.
“Well, Jensen, I hope you didn’t use your company’s credit card to book your reservation, because the Lillian is a brothel and I’m an employee here.”😅😅😅
