"People could say things about Owen. They could, but they don't. We don't. Words are strong. The strongest. Worse than bruises on gravel."
I am really appreciating this book. I see the blossoming relationships coming, ebbing and flowing, etc.

The novel is using three different points of view and alternating narrative timelines. Sometimes it was a challenge to keep drawn into the storyline, it was constantly changing.
The ending 😭 gutted me.

“Otto, I’ve gone. I’ve never seen the water, so I’ve gone there. Don’t worry, I’ve left you the truck. I can walk. I will try to remember to come back. Yours always, Etta.
