Status Updates From Between Two Worlds

I like Zica, the heroine, but Kyril & Yasha are driving me nuts. TWO beta heroes? Seriously? I wish Kyril's asshole father hadn't killed himself; he was 10x more interesting than these moping knuckleheads.

'Zica was put on the train to Moscow, with recommendations to be patient & kindhearted to her cousins. She had hidden some of her mother's French 'yellow novels' in her traveling case, & read them as the train chugged its way southwest. All the time, she dreamed of the young blonde prince who was going to sweep her off her feet & into his arms--perhaps in Odessa?' ....Zica's HEA probability = low. :P

'But all Yakov could think of was the expression of wonder & bewitchment he had caught on Zica's face as he had been playing.
