“As for political, religious or racial issues, always tread carefully-or better yet, don’t go there.” Someone is not following her own advice! 🧐

“In fact, when we post, we are actually choosing to tell our followers something about ourselves…But more than just position yourself, social media enables you to craft your image just like a seasoned stylist.” I went to Aliza’s Instagram thinking it would be fashion stuff, but it’s just her supporting Donald Trump and calling Kamala Harris a moron. Unfortunate.

There are random *S placed throughout the book. I went looking in the back to see if there were any footnotes that the *S was supposed to lead me to. There is a glossary, and the first entry is *S: a homemade sarcasm symbol that the author invented. 🙄 Lady, if you have to tell people you’re being sarcastic…

Ugh, she just told readers to check work email while on vacation. And to be indispensable to your boss, I.e. available after the work day is done. No thank you. This book is 11 years old. Not aging well.

Didn’t realize this was geared toward college-age women. Why, in a book about empowering young women, would you make jokes about how high in calories your muffin-and-coffee breakfast was? Who cares? Is this also a book on nutrition? I think working in the fashion industry may have warped her perspective a bit.
