i identified deeply with this text & it helped me access prickly hidden memories. i kept thinking, rebecca is like me, in an ancient, unnameable way. the writing surrounding her family, and the darkness within their dynamics, especially moved me. also her articulation of her depression. i wished some of the prose was tightened up or cut, it had a “cast-off” quality i was frustrated by (& at other times liked)
