I’m behind on social media posts bc all I want to do is read this. So so good. I’m loving the plant magic so much and all of the suspenseful mysteries are killing meeeee 😭💚

I will need to re-read this in the fall! Even though it’s dark academia and there’s an unsettling undertone, with lots of mystery - the dress code, world-building, and magic school setting give me such a posh, cozy vibe.

Lots of quotable lines, but this one stol remains my fave 🤭:

“God forbid a woman take some time for herself without a man ruining the experience.”

"If I were a better man, I wouldn’t have kissed you at all, but if I acquiesced to the selfish part of myself, you’d be alone with me for the rest of the day in significantly more compromising circumstances.”

That was an epic first chapter! Ah, the author wonderfully set the stage for the story.

From the very first sentence, I was hooked. There’s mystery, thriller vibes, and a slight undertone of spooky gothic atmosphere. I feel like I already got a deel sense of the FMC + the setting and loved how the plant magic was introduced.
